Name: Umber Galante (Umber as in the brownish-gray color, Galante is a play off the word Gallant since he's based on the Black Knight in various Arthurian legends)

Backstory
Umber has always been rather gifted since he was a child. He always did much better than a lot of the students at the combat school he attended in Mistral. He was first in many things, including finding his semblance before his younger cousin, Sable, which inevitably geared Sable to find his as fast as possible. They've had a sort of rivalry for a long time since they were children and this has carried over to attendance at Beacon Academy.

Personality
Umber's personality can be described as stern. He used to be very close to Sable, though he's purposely distanced himself over the years and appears to be very cold towards him even though he deeply cares about his cousin and would run to his aid at the drop of a hat. He's very geeky in his own way in that he likes to study combat strategies and war history in his free time to the point that his teammates have to drag him away from his studies at times. He acts as the father figure of Team UMBR, albeit not purposely.

Semblance: Static Vitality
Basically, he generates excess static electricity in his body. If his teammates are fatigued or too tired to move, through contact, he can stimulate their muscles to give them more energy to fight (he can also consciously use this on himself as he's always generating that static electricity, its just in a storage of sorts inside his body and not continually flowing), almost like an adrenaline shot-- just with electricity (and no painful prodding either!). He can also do the reverse of this in which his ability becomes almost vampiric; on his enemies (through contact) he can drain the static electricity from their bodies to energize himself further and stop electrical impulses from their brain from reaching their muscles, rendering them unable to move. If he does it long enough, it can kill, as the heart needs those impulses to function though he prefers not to use it this way if possible. He can also power up electronics beyond normal capabilities or completely fry them with his semblance, acting as a motor of sorts. He cannot shoot the electricity from his hands due to being unable to focus the electrons for electrical energy to arc in thin air, so to get around this he shoots metallic objects from his hands at high speeds, a bit like a railgun. Since he is a third year student, he's immensely developed his Semblance to the point of being able to ionize the air above him to create storm clouds and use the rain to arc electric bursts from drop to drop to his opponents.

Weapon: Obsidian Equus
Obsidian references the dark volcanic glass, while Equus is Latin for horse. It is a BLRC (Bladed Lance-Railgun Combination). It uses dust rounds similar to Yang's but they each have a small metal sphere in the middle so they can move along the barrel (since railguns use electromagnetism to operate).

Fighting style
Umber can impale and pierce with his lance as well as slash like a sword since it has blades along both edges. His fighting style is unique, in that he has additional gear he calls "Horseshoes". These have no association to his weapon but he does use his semblance to operate them. The "Horseshoes" are attachments to his boots that have 3 small wheels at the bottom. Since his armor fatigues him sometimes as its a little heavy, he had these designed to make movement easier. They're connected to a metal rod that runs inside his boot and contacts his skin. He uses his semblance as a motor to operate them and spin the 3 wheels at high speeds that allow him to skate on surfaces such as concrete, blacktop, and similar surfaces as if on ice and up to 50mph and it gives him more agility allowing him to impale his opponents clean through with his lance, as if he was jousting. Considering the amount of force needed for this, it tends to create sparks, so he doesn't use these on grass or dirt (He's orderly, he hates messes so he definitely wouldn't want to catch something ablaze). When on grass or dirt, he likes to use thrusting attacks and fights with the lance using it as a sword.

Quirks and Trivia
He refers to everyone in a formal manner using terms such as "ma'am" or "sir".
He's an excellent artist but doesn't use that skill too often
